What cookies are and why they matter
Cookies are small text files placed on your device by a website. They serve different purposes depending on who sets them and why. Some are essential for a site to work at all. Others are used for analytics - to understand which pages get read and where visitors come from. Others exist purely to track you across sites for advertising.
Under GDPR and the EU's ePrivacy Directive (the "Cookie Law"), websites must tell you what cookies they set and, for non-essential cookies, get your consent before setting them. This page explains exactly what SpinRoyale.net sets and why.
Cookies set by SpinRoyale.net
| Cookie name | Provider | Purpose | Duration | Type |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| cookie_consent | SpinRoyale.net | Stores your cookie consent preference so we don't ask again on every page | 12 months | Essential |
| _ga | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users for analytics reporting. Contains a randomly-generated client ID, not personal data. IP is anonymised before storage. | 2 years | Analytics |
| _ga_XXXXXXXX | Google Analytics | Maintains session state for a specific GA4 property. Works alongside _ga. | 2 years | Analytics |
| _gid | Google Analytics | Distinguishes users within a 24-hour period for analytics purposes. | 24 hours | Analytics |
| _gat | Google Analytics | Throttles the request rate to Google Analytics to limit data collection at high traffic volumes. | 1 minute | Analytics |
Third-party cookies set by others
The following are not set by SpinRoyale.net directly, but may be set by third-party services connected to or linked from this site.
| Provider | When it happens | What is set | Type |
|---|---|---|---|
| Google LLC (Fonts) | Every page load | Google Fonts does not set persistent cookies, but your browser requests fonts from fonts.gstatic.com, and Google logs your IP address, browser type, and referring URL as part of normal CDN operation. Governed by Google's privacy policy. | CDN Logging |
| Casino operators | When you click an affiliate link and visit a casino | Each casino sets its own tracking cookies to attribute the referral to our affiliate account. These cookies are entirely controlled by the casino. We have no access to them. The casino's own cookie policy applies once you leave our site. | Affiliate |
Note: this site does not run advertising networks, sell ad space, or use retargeting pixels. There are no Facebook Pixel, Google Ads, or programmatic advertising cookies on SpinRoyale.net.
Legal basis for each cookie type
- Essential cookies - no consent required. Set under the "strictly necessary" exemption in the ePrivacy Directive. These are needed for the site to function.
- Analytics cookies - set only with your consent. If you decline or withdraw consent, these will not be set or will be removed.
- Google Fonts CDN logging - processed under Google's legitimate interests in operating CDN infrastructure. You can prevent the browser request entirely using an extension that blocks third-party domains.
- Affiliate cookies (casino side) - set by casino operators under their own legal basis. Their privacy and cookie policies apply.

Opting out of Google Analytics
If you want to prevent Google Analytics from tracking your visits across all sites that use it, Google provides an official browser add-on for this purpose.
Do Not Track
Some browsers send a "Do Not Track" (DNT) signal to websites when enabled in settings. There is currently no legal requirement for websites to honour DNT signals, and no agreed standard for what "honouring" it means. This site does not currently respond to DNT headers differently from normal requests. The most effective way to prevent tracking is to use your browser's cookie controls or the opt-out tools described above.
Changes to this policy
If we add new services or change how we use cookies, this page will be updated. The "last updated" date at the top reflects when it was last revised.
